September 2009

Sikhumbuzo (10 years old)

Nosicelo (12 years old)

Avuyile (14 years old)

On our last day the Ready to Read class played on the beach.

A bunch of the missionaries went on a field trip to the west coast national park to see a bunch of wild flowers and ended up seeing wild animals in their natural habitat. (Zebra, Ostrich, Kudoo, Antelope, Cape buffalo, turtle, etc)

another view at the national park

Kudoo

Cape Buffalo

Eating our lunch on the rocks at the national park.

September is a great time to come visit South Africa because all the flowers are blooming.

It's whale season this month and on my day off Rose and I went whale watching. We saw a whale poke half is body out and then his tale. Of course I was too slow to catch it on the camera.

One afternoon the students from several high schools did a friendly protest on the streets about having more books and libraries in their schools.

When it is the last Monday of the month after devotions we have a time of fellowship, eating and praying for one ministry. This time we were laying hands on Chris and praying for the Rainbow soccer ministry.

The kids traced out their hand and made a flower.

They made the cycle of the flower on Monday.

The kids made a bee puppet for the spring theme this week.
