It has been my privileged and a great honor to work for Wind and Tide Preschool for 6 years and at Wind and Tide Kindergarten for the past 7 years. During this time, my passion to teach children has grown. I want to give each child the opportunity to be the best that they can be. I want to give them the best experience possible socially, academically, physically and spiritually so that they will have a foundation to carry them through their whole lives.
God has blessed me with a great life in Canada and many amazing experiences while teaching at Wind and Tide over the past 13 years. I now have a wonderful opportunity to pass on these blessings by helping underprivileged children, including orphans and some with AIDS, by giving them the gift of education so that they can reach their highest potential. I will be taking a one-year leave of absence from Wind and Tide to join African Leadership, a non-profit Christian organization. My main objective will be to develop curriculum and help train teachers in the townships in Cape Town, South Africa.
