October Prayer Update
Greetings from
These past few weeks I have finally started driving around to the Educare centres so I can introduce myself to the teachers and get familiar with where are the schools are in Khayelitsha. I have a big job ahead of me as I see that there is such a big need in each school. Please pray for the following items:
Educare Centres Prayer request:
- I need to find a study guide that is appropriate for the Mama’s so that I can start building a relationship with them.
- In the next few weeks I will be mailing and visiting potential donors to get support for all the Educare centres.
- Finish making the Educare Centre brochures.
- To get more English churches involved with the Educare Centres by volunteering or donating time, money and materials.
- To connect to the right people and start networking to make the Educare centres the best that they can be.
- In the midst of building a curriculum and infrastructure for the Educare centres.
Personal Prayer request:
- I’ve just spent tons of money with my car. Pray that I will not have anymore problems with the car. ( 4 new tires, replaced the cam belt, fixed the high beams, change the keys)
- All these car problems and the overwhelming responsibility I have in making each Educare Centre has caused my body to react to the stress and now I have one of my gold molar very sore. The 1st dentist was going to do a root canal, but the second dentist said that I was clenching my teeth due to the stress and if the problem persist that he was going to make me a mouth guard. Pray that I can relax my jaw so that I don’t need to spend more money on dentist bills.
- Pray that my condo situation is ok in
- I’ve been challenged to face my giants and overcome them since watching the move called, “Facing the Giants,” with the youth. Pray that I can resolve these issues and learn from them.
PS: Thanks for everyone who is praying for me and keeping in contact via e-mail. It makes my heart jump for joy that there are people who care for me on the other side of the world!
