September Prayer Request

September Prayer Update

Molo everyone! (Molo means hi in Xhosa)

I’ve been in Cape Town for over a month now and I am having such a rich experience from learning how to drive a standard to building a preschool. Some of the new things I’ve learned have been hard and challenging, but I must persevere in order to build God’s Kingdom. As it says in the bible, we must forget what is behind and strain towards what is ahead of us. We must press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3: 13-14).

Please pray for the following items:

· That I may see everything through God’s eyes.

· That I may adjust to my new surroundings.

· That I may learn the Xhosa language.

· That I may know my way around Cape Town and Khayelitsha.

· That I may start building relationships with the Xhosa speaking people especially the preschool Mama’s.

· There are no funds to better the preschools so I need to find and write to supporters to help with buying equipment and supplies. (ex: People in North America that are willing to donate or sponsor a preschool, writing letters to big companies, asking donations from paper companies.)

· That I may find the right church for me to fellowship in and be fed by the word of God.

· One of my goals is to see if I can connect the English speaking churches of Cape Town to partnership with the preschools. (ex: collect recyclable items, donate blankets, toys, money etc.)

· I ended up buying a 1994 Toyota Camry that’s automatic. I don’t need to learn how to drive a standard anymore, but to pray for safety and protection. ( I am not used to big cars!)

· I’ve started a small group with the youth worship group. Pray that I can build a relationship with each youth and that they will come consistently.

· Will be involved in a children’s camp from Sept 26-28.
