Departure From Canada 8/5/07

Sunni and I arrived at the airport around 5:15. We were allowed to bring 3 pieces of luggage each (70 lbs) because we were considered missionaries with British Airways. I jumped for joy when each piece of luggage was under the weight limit. If our luggage was overweight we would have had to pay over $200 for excess luggage. (Unfortunately we couldn't bring everything because we had too much.) We are to leave for London at 8:30, but its 40 mins late. We should arrive in London around 1:00pm Monday afternoon and then fly to South Africa around 8pm. Hopefully we should arrive in Cape Town Tuesday Morning.

My last day in Canada I had volunteered to make a 50th anniversary cake for the Weisner's. The rest of the people in the picture is my caregroup. These people are the best!!! They have supported and prayed for me since I first thought of going to South Africa and they will continue to support me when I am down there! Thanks so much friends!

Traveling Pants: (Just a funny story!)

Today I choose a pair of Capri's from the Gap that I got at a clothing exchange about 7 years ago. As people were doing their speeches at the Weisner's Anniversary I noticed a grease stain on my capri's from the icing. I then just excused myself and took them off and tried to wash it off. I then had to go outside because I ended up getting one pant leg all wet (It was also a good excuse to phone my family before I left). I then went back in and looked at the stain again and it was still there. I then looked further down and realized that my capri's were actually falling apart from the seams! agggh! I now was debating what should I do? I only had a few minutes before I had to leave for the airport! It was too late to sew them! I just had to go with the seams falling apart! Oh Well! I will give you a report later on if my pants survived the trip!

( Richard Tonn & Horst Tonn, missing Jamie Sereduik)

I just had to tell you about these amazing guys. They were the one's that help me move all my stuff in a 5x10 storage room. We got everything in and there was no room to spare. My friends made a comment and said that they were sorry for the person who gets to help me move the stuff when I get back!
